On the street workout facility you can perform exercises with your own body weight. On the parkour facility, acrobatic jumps are performed between walls and bars. The parkour facility was developed by the current parkour world champion and Ninja professional Chris Harmat in collaboration with Paul Heuberger from Vertical Technik AG. It is the first parkour facility in the region, which was designed for beginners and advanced athletes. A fall protection surface made of EPDM rubber was installed in the area of the two facilities.

Created through a youth survey
After the aging skate park had to be removed, the municipality of Arlesheim conducted a survey among the 26-year-old residents. Various alternatives for the use of the vacated space could be selected, after which the topics of skate park, parkour and street workout were in the foreground. In a subsequent workshop with the participation of Arlesheim children and young people, a new leisure facility was developed. Thanks to sponsoring from companies, the financial support of the municipality and the lottery fund, the project could be realized. The leisure facility is operated by the association “Freiraum Jugendhaus und Kindertreff”.

Chris Harmat:
TikTok
Facebook
Instagram

      Display content from Google Maps

  Hier klicken, um den Inhalt von Google Maps anzuzeigen.
Learn more in Google Maps’s privacy policy.

          Always display content from Google Maps

Open content directly

    var _oembed_032bbb010bd9f02448b7d3ac5ce2728d = '{"embed":"<iframe width="800"
